Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian German film and TV actress most well-known for her roles in films such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Born the only child to Romanian actor Valentin Platareu, Alexandra began her career in show business at an early age. At the age of 16, she reached the age of 16years old, Alexandra was able to land prominent roles in a variety of television dramas. Her critically acclaimed role in the made-for-television film Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including the role of Secretary to Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge in the critically and commercially profitable Oscar nominated historical war film Downfall. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are the other Oscar nominees featuring models. Alexandra has been involved in numerous notable national and international projects throughout her career. Some of these include the British biographical movie Control, the Greek drama movie The Dust of Time, and the French historic miniseries Napoleon. She was also in the jury panel of the Transylvania International Film Festival, and also at Cannes Film Festival.
