Lori Greiner
Lori Greiner was a Chicago native who was born on the 9th December 1969 in Gold Coast. Greiner is the second child of the father of a real estate developer and a mother who is psychologist. Her parents divorced when she was nine years old. old.Greiner studied journalism, communications, television and film at Loyola University Chicago. She also was a playwright and designer, where she also sold her own jewellery on the side.Greiner started her career with the creation of a plastic earring organizer with sliding rods that could store up to 100 pairs of earrings. She developed a prototype for the product which was picked up by J.C. Penney before the holiday season.She claimed that "she did not intend to become an inventor in a series" but her popularity in the Home Shopping Network started her in that direction. In the following year, she moved to QVC and, in 2000, she came up with a variety of brand new products.In 2012, Greiner was a part of the TV series Shark Tank. Her investment in the company Scrub Daddy (a company that makes an amorphous sponge with a unique texture) was a big success two years later. In 2014, she had sold over 2 million of her products on QVC.
